Columbusceo Wall Street trade group propose a government-industry cyber war council

The Securities Industry and Financial Market Association (SIFMA) has gathered a committee of executives and representatives from eight government agencies (including the Treasury, NSA, and DHS) to discuss the creation of a government-industry cyber war council. In view of state and non-state malevolent cyber actors, the council would prepare plans to actively defend American institutions from cyber attacks by anticipating threats, developing plans, sharing information and creating various protocols. SIMFA has retained former NSA director Keith Alexander to facilitate joint efforts with the government.
